It wasn't my fault....The Kid that lived across the street from me was in a band
and heard me singing around just for my own pleasure, and asked if I would come to practice and audition, well I did, it went well, and all of a sudden I was hooked, been singing Classic Rock ever since.
That band was called “After The Rain”, through the years I've sang in bands like “Looseleef Harper”,Retrospect”, “Electric Haze”. One of my most successful bands was called “HUSTLER”, we kind of had a gamblers theme going. We played the Detroit bar circuit with bands like “Adrenalin”,”Krankin”, and “Bitter Sweet Ally”. Another pretty successful band was “THE MIXX”, always Classic Rock and loved every minute of it.
Julia has always had a passion for music. She was inspired at a young age by her dad, the guitar player Dave, who has been singing and playing guitar with her for as long as she can remember. Professionally, Julia studied Choral Music Theory from 6th-12thgrade and received a scholarship to participate in the choir program at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. Through her high school choir program, she has earned several awards from the Michigan School Vocal Music Association. She also participated in several musical extracurricular activities including show choir and her high school’s production of Legally Blonde: The Musical. After high school Julia set her music interests aside to pursue her Bachelor’s degree of Business Administration in Finance from Walsh College. Now that she has graduated, she has decided to continue to develop her talent as a backup singer in Winds of Change. She is grateful for the opportunity to continue to make music and expand her skillset as a backup singer.
Linda’s been singing since childhood, every Friday (cleaning day) when the records were stacked up on the console stereo
Fleetwood Mac, Frank Sinatra, Jethro Tull, Cat Stevens, Barbara Streisand, Freddy Mercury, and Lou Rawls were belting or crooning and the house was a sparkling clean
Linda’s dad loved jazz and he mom loves the blues and there was plenty to hear. The church choir, local musical theater, a few bands, an acoustic duo and collaborating with friends brought the exposure and discovery of artists that continue to inspire Linda’s choices.
Recently, the highest priority has simply been FUN – having fun with the music, the musicians, the crowds, everything. Singing has been one of the best ingredients in Linda’s life and working with the Winds of Change group has been the best mix yet.
